Australian slang that refers to cheap wine that typically comes in large sealed packets in boxes, of which is referred to as a "goon sack". Usually always tastes like shit, and is normally intended to get people as drunk as possible on the smallest budget possible.
Whilst it's supposed to be dispensed into glasses or cups, many people simply tear it out of the box and scull it straight from the sack.

When used by a girl in reference to a cute guy who is teasing her, "goon" ironically adopts an endearing connotation. In such a context, "goon" is synonymous to "goofball." It certain scenarios it can be indicative of romantic interest.

A group of indescript people who are ordered around, or look up to an individual (Goon/s). Can also be used to describe a person who is sociall inadequate. Lastly, a colloquial term for hired thugs/goons.

A rampage that starts after drinking lots of cheap wine ie: goon, which involves driving into bins and letterboxes, pushing over Sandstone pillars/letterboxes, egging houses and cars, stealing garden gnomes and solar lights and blowing up or towing rubbish bins. "Gooning" a word for teenage drunken stupidity! A word created by my mate Rob of S.A
