A bunch of elitist fucks that all dress like girls and wish they were in college. So they can be ARTxCORE.
They also enjoy telling anyone who will listen which bands have 'sold out' (changed from some 'indie' lable to one that's less 'indie' so they can attract a larger audience) and why that's disappointing and/or expected.
They hang out at shows and act completely disinterested in the band and tell you off if you make any attemp at all to enjoy yourself. If you're not one of them, they'll gaggle up in little groups and mock how 'unscene' you are (thus the elitist title).
Scene kids cannot bear to be 'out-banded,' that is to say, if you happen to drop the name of a band they've never heard of before, they'll immediately start bragging about how many times they've seen that band, and then drop a band name (that's probably made up) you've hopefully never heard before just to nurse their wounded ego.
And, believe you me, the ego of a scenester is a force to be reckoned with.
I wanted to go to the show, but all those damn scene kids were there and it was sold out.

Scene does not refer to emo (which is currently a nonexistent music genre- easily mistaken for pop-punk)in any way.
Scene refers to the music scene in someones town.
examples:
If many metal bands play in a town and there are lots of kids who go to metal shows...their "Scene" would be the "metal scene"
If many indie bands play in a town and there are lots of kids who go to indie shows...their "Scene" would be the "indie scene"
If many industrial bands play in a town and there are lots of kids who go to industrial shows...their "Scene" would be the "industrial scene"
and so on and so forth.
Scene doesn't reflect on the way a person dresses, how they act, what there emotional status is or how many times they "cut maselfffffff"
Scene just refers to music.

around where we live, scene kids are usually short- to- medium height and very skinny, with the occasional porker, who unfortunately, tries to fit into the same size clothes. they usually have long or shoulder-length spiky hair dyed black, with caramel-looking patches. the girls seem to love the miniskirts & leggings trend. despite their somewhat-appealing exterior, they're very narcissistic and only care about themselves and other people scene enough for them. all non-scene kids secretly hate them.
riding the bus with the scene kids became a very depressing thing for young nikki.

A style of dress and act in the late 2000s, that many believe to have died out, but some people still live the scene kid life. Scene kids usually wear dark makeup, with either black or bright eye shadow. Some have piercings. Many have dyed hair, either bright colors or natural. It's common to have either streaks of hair dye or coontail extensions. Hair styles are a fringe, cut by the scene kids themselves. Clothes can be dark t shirts with bright designs, usually from bands. Also, tight skinny jeans, which can be black, blue, or any bright color. Shoes are flats, converse high tops or knee highs, or vans. Scene kids also wear a lot of necklaces, and either rubber or beaded bracelets. MySpace is not as popular anymore, scene kids use Instagram or FriendProject to post pictures. Scene kids act confident and a little self centered, but if you know one in real life, you know that is not how they always are. They are interested in hardcore bands such as Asking Alexandria , Bring Me The Horizon , and Attack Attack, or softer bands like BrokeNCYDE and Blood On The Dance Floor. Scene kids also like childish things like Hello Kitty, Pokemon (pikachu in particular), and Invader Zim. Scene kids can be friends with people who aren't scene, but prefer to be with people who have similar interests and style. They look up to scene kids from the 2000s like AmbrehhhIsDead , KikiKannibal , Lexi Lush , and Vanna Venom . They also use internet slang from the 2000s.

A bunch of J-rock/Visual Kei posers who claim they're being original and that Visual Kei/J-Rock copied them. In reality, however, Visual Kei has been around since the 80s and Scene is a new "fad" from the 2000s, so it is impossible for Visual Kei/J-Rock to have copied something that didn't exist at the time they started dressing that way, etc.
From head to toe everything about the scene kid is Visual Kei.
That Scene Kid thinks he/she's so original. Puh-leese.

Okay lets get this whole problem straight first of all do some research before you write things down. Emo is actually spilt off of the hardcore of the 1980's it orginally stood for emotional hardcore. The scene start in washington d.c. because they believed hardcore kids were becoming to violent and just showing up at shows to hurt people the did not believe in the punk rock ideals made clear but hardcore bands such as minor threat. Emo became more popular during the 90's as an indie style pioneered by bands such as sunny day real estate and texas is the reason. Now the interesting thing about emo is it isn't actually around anymore you see it was really just an offshoot of punk similar to the hardcore of the 80's and the more pop side of punk in the 90's. Now we can get to scene kids they listen to bands that are around today such as silverstein and boys like girls. Which is pop music with a little bit of rock thrown in. Never call someone emo because it does not actually exist anymore there are no emo bands anymore only scene bands. As stated pervoiusly emo is just an offshoot of punk that stayed around for a little bit and doesn't exist anymore. It is also very important to know the difference between scene and punk. Punk is politically and socially motivated whereas scene is rebellion as sold at hot topic. Hopefully everyone understands the difference.
emo kid will listen to sunny day real estate, texas is the reason
scene kid will listen to silverstein, boys like girls, my chemical romance, pink spiders
punk kid will listen to against me, anti-flag, rise against, minor threat
