The first have known as blue dog conservative democrats consisting of 2 dollar whores who suckle the corporate interests and bathe in the corruption created in the absence of liberal red cat republicans and the extinction of moderate republicans long purged by the ghost of Ronald Reagan to fuel his inevitable resurrection for the end of days
The second half consisting Liberal Progressives who hold the Radical Idea of maintaining government for the people, working class, and using tax dollars to maintain a functioning government instead, the Wealthy Feudal Corporate Overlords and a Industrial Military Complex as decreed by the Natural Order.
One need not fear such an event occurring so long as the Republicans and the Blue Dogs(aka Diet republicans). Maintain the facade of a 2 party democracy to protect the Oligarchy. Such protections include democrats bending over backwards to bipartisanly give republicans 99% of what they desire, tax breaks for the wealthy, Pay to prevent Progressive movements, DarkMoney, Gas lighting , Voter suppression, Media Blackouts, Calling people who worked in the Civil and Women's rights Movements racists or sexist.

Also the democratic party is the creation of southern aristocrat planters (slave owners) left the south after the birth of neo-conservatism to avoid the fact their party ever supported slavery and other anti-civil rights policies.The party is know run by hippies from the seventies who can't turn off their share everything brains.

An individual who believes that a minority with a high school diploma deserves a job over a white person with a bachelor's degree, that the rich should give away all of their money so that the middle and lower classes will no longer have to work, that doctors and pharmacists should go through 8+ years of school to do volunteer work, that being offensive to someone is worse than murder, and that America is the worst nation in the world because of all those goddamn Republicans that hijacked the government and ran it straight into the ground in an attempt to fight off the atheist commie terrorists poisoning the minds of children with their twisted propaganda.
