Mari was Sunny’s older brother and Hero’s lover. She was not great at flirting but still sweet and loved by her friends. She used to play sports until she got a bad knee. Her influenced was felt on every member of her friend group - she inspired Sunny’s love for music and Basil’s love for photography.
Aubrey in particular looked up to Mari, and when they were older Aubrey wanted to dye her hair pink and Mari to dye her hair purple, just for fun. This inspires many of the game’s color schemes - When we meet Aubrey she sports bright pink hair, and the headspace imaginary versions of Sunny’s friends all have purple hair.
However, despite all that was great about her, Mari’s perfectionism and her practice sessions for playing a recital eventually broke her little brother, resulting in Sunny accidentally pushing her to her doom in an incident which has since been dubbed “Ayo the pizza here”. But her spirit has been shown to be forgiving of Sunny, wanting him to find peace with himself.
Sunny discovering the truth of Mari’s death, which he had repressed, is one of the major elements of the game. Hey, I said there was gonna be spoilers!
Omori Player: “Damn I wonder what would’ve happened if Mari lived.”

Mari: “The thing I hate most about being dead is not being able to pull pranks on Hero.”

She is a beautiful girl with a pure heart. She care's very much about the people that are close to her and would do almost anything for them. She has soft, flowing hair that shines like gold in the sun. Her eyes glimmer like freshly polished diamonds and own's the sweetest smile. She will keep your secrets and be there for you even through your darkest times. She can be an angel and she can be your worst nightmare. She's a goddess in human form. You must be careful tho. She has feelings that are easily hurt, but she'll never show it till she bursts into tears and breaks down. If you know a Marisa, take care of her. There's no one that can replace her and when she leaves you'll be ripping your heart out.
