functionally lazy

A person who is good at their job, and not actually lazy - but is someone who never replaces the toilet paper, never buys the milk, never empties the bins, never buys the doughnuts, never sweeps up, never refills the coffee, thus is functionally lazy

Look at Todd, his sales figures are awesome, but there is no coffee - he is so functionally lazy

Functional Femininity

When someone chooses to change their gender to female not because of gender dysphoria, but for practical, functional reasons.

In certain situations becoming female might be desirable for pragmatic reasons. To obtain citizenship by marring a heterosexual male for example. Or simply to become a stay at home wife due to a difficult job market. In prison sometimes it is necessary for a male to become female simply for survival.

Someone practicing functional femininity may be open about the fact they are adopting a female gender purely for pragmatic reasons, or they maybe choose to conceal it. It's not unheard of a male to agree to function as a female for a heterosexual male in return for a VISA via marriage. Their husband being fully aware they are practicing functional femininity and that they do not truly consider themselves female.

Often there is a formal agreement of specific terms. Such as permanent chastity, various (sometimes extreme)surgical enhancements and even castration and/or penectomy. This acts as assurance that the male will continue to function as a female permenantly in the long term. These terms are common when a husband is concious of the fact their wife is a male practicing functional femininity.

This kind of arraignment is common with east asians attempting to move to western countries.

"Well, I can either stay here as an umployed man and live in absolute poverty. Or move to the west and practice functional femininity. Become a wife and at least be comfortable. "

Fit form and function

Item in question fits the design, is the correct form as design and functions as needed. However may still look like shit. Good to be used in many things however products that are artistic is a no no...

This custom frame meets fit form and function. It fits the art, meets your required look and holds the art. No bob it looks like shit.

single function application

A computer application that only covers a single, distinct, area of functionality with little or no integration with other processes or other applications e.g. a simple calendar application or a business application that has complex functionality, but on for a distinct business process function such as creating and approving Purchase orders, but no direct integration/inter-dependencies with others functions, such as Financial Reporting or Stock Control in external applications or where activated as part of the same application (therefore not a Single Function Application).
The point is that Single Function Applications more likely to be SaaS products as they are less likely to need customisation or additional coding specifically for an individual installation (customer) or Integration testing.
Therefore Single Function Applications may be easily developed with traditional Agile values, rather than needing a Hybrid approach (e.g. a 'Waterfall' Integration and/or Regression Test phase after development Sprints and before Shipping each Release).

I'm developing a Single Function Application which doesn't integrate with any other areas of functionality, so I won't need to do any Integration testing with other applications of other areas of functionality.

Functional flake

A person who lets other, less important, things take precedence and does not plan things through but in the end manages to make things fall into place and function efficiently and seamlessly (on the surface)

Karina is as good a functional flake as they come. No one can tell.

functional programming

Much in the way one who participates in heavy drinking, but can operate in normal society is a functional alcoholic: one who participates in heavy function use, but can program normal programs is doing functional programming. Functions, especially the more street available nested anonymous ones, are highly addictive and may make you want to abandon other forms of control flow entirely. Allows one to write code that operates on other code easily. Nerd Shit.

My favorite functional programming language is Idris, it's like Haskell but for nerds.
