There are TWO types of preps. First there is the prep who only wears collared shirts, and then there is the other prep who wears Juicy Couture and Abercrombie & Fitch...mostly what celebrities wear. Now, these two preps have one thing in common...they are not sluts. They both do not wear extra-small Abercrombie & Fitch sheer shirts, but they might wear a Medium in not a see-through shirt. Some preps wear shirts that express who they are, for exaple... they might wear a shirt that says, "Almost Always Right" or "Social Studies is my best Subject!" or "I will talk in class". Things like that. They also ALWAYS wear ribbons in their hair as well as ribbon belts. There jeans are from Miss Sixty because Preps wear expensive clothing. They also wear Tiffany & Co. necklaces and bracelets. Mostly silver so they can wear them to school. They have open faces free of oil and dirt and their hair is always clean. They live in the richest towns in the area and have either Victorian or Colonial gorgeous houses. A real prep only lives in a house that costs AT LEAST $1,500,000. Most of them live in $3,700,000 million houses because a real prep's father owns a company or is the CEO of AT LEAST ONE. Anyway, a real prep almost never repeats an outfit and plays golf and tennis with their father and lacross, soccer etc... with their friends. They are envied by everyone because they are beautiful! Also, whenever they wear long pants, they wear pointy shoes and their pants always touch the ground. Anyway....hope it helped!
Those girls are so stylish and they don't look like sluts...they must be preps because they are wearing Miss. Sixty jeans and Juicy Couture shirts!

preppy is not a person first off.
it's a style.
i think it's sad that people refer to styles as the actual person. it reminds me of tribal war and all that primitive stuff.
preppy is a style, where a person buys clothes similar to what they sell in "abercrombie" and "aeropostle" "the gap" "guess" etc.. usually the person takes pride in their appearance and never looks unkempt.
just go to the mall and u will surely find at least one person who has a "preppy" style.

describing word, describing clothes, accessories, people, etc. preppy clothes are usually those that cost a little more than others and the clothes include "garden party dresses" and slacks....things very nice & proper...accessories that match very well with the outfits.......people that can't have poor friends no matter how nice they are...they think they are better than everyone else who is not as rich....always bragg, some are okay in sports but they never are really the "sporty" type truely.....the guys are very sensitive even though they say otherwise...girls love to have sincere boyfriends they can take care of....
Abercrombie & Fitch is a store that has preppy clothing.

a person who thinks that every one likes them they are usually stuck up rich kids who wear whats in fashion they only date other popular preps hate goths and skaters and are very closed minded also see bitch

A preppy is often a word for someone who is rich and spoiled. Often wearing dressy clothes or looking wealthy, it is also said that preppys have a fancy in boxing so their not weak. Their power though comes threw money and Intellegence.They get their money from family wealth always hiding behind "Daddy's money"

preppy is how a person acts.Like I seen this and I have been called a prep plenty of times by my own friend.I met 2 of my best friends in the 3rd grade and we all just happen to know a lot of people and a lot of people like us. Yes i have heard the polo shirts but im in the 7th grade and we do wear American Eagle and other things like that. I also go to a public school and i dont make fun of different people.
I think that Annie is very preppy.
