Snake

Someone who is deceitful and two-faced. Someone who will try to hurt you for absolutely no reason at all or because they didn’t get what they want. They will seem nice, respectful, and caring so they can grow a bond, a friendship and try to be your friend so in the end they can strike, and backstab you. Snakes typically try to receive information that can hurt somebody’s reputation, such as asking for inappropriate pictures, or using them for their money, etc. They will do this while acting innocent and trying to put the blame on you. It can be very difficult to spot a snake (or snake in the grass, another term used) cause of their ability to get close to somebody and seem like a trustful friend.

The term “Snake” or “Snake in the grass” is used to describe these people due to the fact that snakes can seem gentle, and friendly, but in reality can hurt you quickly, without notice.

Amy: “I’ve been talking to this one boy recently”
Liz: “Oh really? Who?”
Amy: “Zach, he’s reallyyyyy nice!”
Liz: “Is he the tall one with glasses?”
Amy: “Yeah why?”
Liz: “He ghosted a few of my other friends, I heard he’s a Snake, be careful of what you say and do.”
