An ageist(yea that's a word) phrase used by younger generations to react to something said by someone born in between 1946 and 1964 when they are relating to when they were a kid.
"Back in my days..." said the boomer
" ok boomer " joked the younger person

An already overused unoriginal response the youngsters say to boomers, aka baby boomers or older people.
They say it in an attempt to be witty and shut down conversations, because they are tired of listening to older people, older people who are even more sick and tired of these young whiny entitled children.
When a youngster does not have an argument or anything original to say they say okay boomer because someone else said it and it's trendy to copy others in 2019.
Especially youngsters nowadays, little rascals!
Boomer: "Hello!"
Youngster: "Ok Boomer."
Boomer: "I'll get double cheeseburger with large fries."
Youngster: "Your total is $5.99 first window."
Boomer: "You look adorable in your little uniform, look at you joining the workforce finally becoming less of a burden on society, great job!"
Youngster: "Ok Boomer."
Boomer: "Is that the new iPhone?"
Excited youngster: "Yeah! I just got it thurs...
Interrupting Boomer: "Don't care! Ha! Got eeem! See you later Chad!"
Youngster: "OKAY BOOMER! Damn they didn't hear me, oh well I'll say to the next customer. Welcome to McDonalds Can I take your order?"
Boomer #2: "Hello!"
Youngster: "Ok Boomer."

βDeborah, you will not believe what derogatory phrase a group of snowflakes said to me today.β
βWhat did those lazy millennials say, Gary?β
βWell, as usual, they were complaining about being in debt because of college. So in response, I told them they wouldnβt be in so much debt if they got off those god damn phones. Then, they proceeded to say βok boomer.ββ
βTHAT IS OUTRAGEOUS! You better have threatened to call the police on them, Gary! The ladies in my book club say thatβs the equivalent of saying the n-word.β

The polite way to tell an old person to fuck off
Grandma: back in my day we had to walk 10 miles to school uphill and in the snow. You kids are spoiled
Me: Ok Boomer

A very dismissive and tired catchphrase only a year old used on social media with memes by the unsocial and smartphone-addicted Generation Z that have no interest in associating with or listening to old people (over 40) or how things used to be, even though todayβs Boomers are all between 60 and 80 today. The phrase has been a success at offending older folks on social media wanting their voices heard and respect.
Boomer: When I was growing up, we were outside all day. We drank out of the water hose, rode our bikes all over the neighborhood, and didnβt come home until the street lights came on.
Zβer: OK Boomer!
The catch phrase of 2019 used by millennial's. This phrase is based in ignorance due to the fact that baby boomers are in their later 60's and mid 70's and typically do not use social media. It is used to make an effort to show a fact to be a non fact under a delusional though process. Only an ignorant potato would think a 70 year old is on reddit or any other social media when most can barely use a flip phone, much less a smart phone.
Gen X says: Punk rock started in the 80's as an aggressive outlet for people. The modern context of punk is to make a statement everyone is misogynistic and against females and trans or LGBTQ. This in fact is not true.
Ignorant potato: ok boomer
The above example shows that the person using ok boomer has no biological clue what a boomer is outside of some regurgitated timeline definition that has been debunked. Boomers are a product of returning vets or born post WWII. Considering those giving birth were in their 20's to 30's in 1941 through 1946 a boomer is of that generation where mom and dad had them in their prime biological time. Anyone born to these folks is biologically Generation X, the generation that came up and was given technology advances at a rapid rate. Gen X is now in their mid 50's and 40's. Y is in their 30's, millennial's, the few self thinking internet saavy single mom havin ignorant potatoes who use such phraseology in their late 20's, and Z those magnificent bastards, are now entering their 20's. Z is teh generation that for some reason has found renewed patriotism, loves guns, and loves to attack socialists and communist snowflake millennial's. Watching these smarter, faster little killers tear up millennial's is pure entertainment as they debunk millennial bullshit.
