a phrase which is used as a joke literally at any gathering of people when someone (usually an organizer of the event) confirms that everyone, who was meant to come, has come; but then some bastard says this phrase suggesting that they have to wait for Eddie Vedder. the thing that makes it funny is that there's no meaning in this phrase at all, and there's no actual connection between Pearl Jam's frontman and the fact of him being or not being at any kind of meetings.
the use of the phrase can also be expanded by saying it whenever someone mentions something in plural form – see example 2.
Ex.1:
– finally everyone's here
– except for eddie vedder!
– what?
Ex.2:
– I'm gonna eat all of these sandwiches

I got the Vedder Vaginal Viscerator last night and now my entrails are slapping my thighs when I go for my morning jog.
Eddie Vedder is the lead singer of Pearl Jam, and the last living frontman of the big 4 grunge bands. He's a short man but his attractiveness is in no way lacking. He blurs the lines between gay and straight and you will often find straight guys drooling over him. He's also well known for monkey-like behaviour: climbing and stage diving off scaffolding at concerts.
Person 1: "Eddie Vedder is one of the best vocalists of the 90s"
Person 2: "I agree, but what the fuck is he saying in 'Yellow Ledbetter'?"
A deeply poetic language spoken by an ancient 1990's showman. It sounds exactly like how you would thought plaid would sound.
