Nexting is when you're walking / talking / hanging out with someone and they see another friend of theirs and immediately ditch you and start talking to them and leave you behind.
Kate: I saw you walking with Laurie a few minutes ago. Where is she?

It's what intelligent and expirenced people tell idiotic newcomers to do, but they don't listen, and continue to pursue the same woman by giving her flowers and being nice and polite and showing good manners while she goes off and fucks some outlaw biker. Then she tells him about how good the outlaw biker was, and enventually she cries on his shoulder about how the outlaw biker treats her like shit. When and if he asks her out she tells him that she's sorry but she doesn't feel that way about him, and that she just wants to be friends.

Nexting is used in Chatroulette when either 'You' click the 'Next' button moving onto the next 'Stranger' or when the 'Stranger' nexts 'You'.
Nexting as a phrase is now used when out and about, you hypothetically 'Next' the persons you are talking to or see in the room until you find a stranger you consider worth talking to.
"Shall we next this stranger?"
