Someone who is involved with the happenings of the YouTube commentary community to an extreme, almost obnoxious degree. They spend a lot of time ranting ("Sperging out") about petty drama and have extensive, often unnecessary knowledge about said dramas.
Said people often have no life outside of the internet and spend their spare time in commentary discord servers or calling into livestreams to "Debate" others on recent drama, Despite Usually having no following of their own. Often, commentary spergs are used by the YouTubers themselves for information about events in the community.
Person one: I just found out that in a 2018 livestream, *Youtuber* made a negative comment about Keemstar-
Person two: You're such a commentary sperg.
When someone goes on a long, in-depth, overly elaborate explanation long after everyone already gets the point, but will not fucking end. You get the point, but the person continues to explain their point, and often times stutters and stammers whilst doing so.
The explanation often times has to be cut off, or tails off if they realize that no one is listening to them any longer.
The definition above this is an example of "sperging out."

When someone behaves ignorant to perceived social cues like someone with Asperger's syndrome. Someone who does this frequently could be called a sperg.
All you have to say is 9/11 was an inside job, and Jeff will sperg out about government conspiracy and jet fuel for like 45 minutes.

Cult Sperg: An individual in a group, who idolizes a charismatic leader (who uses thought reform and financial or other exploitation), who takes to social media and other internet outlets to throw tantrums against any and all people who slightly criticise their beliefs or their leader.
Common usage to refer to a small group of extreme hard-core Star Citizen gaming fans, a phrase popularized by popular software developer Derek Smart.
I really cannot understand CULT SPERG mentality.

Behaving like someone with Asperger's syndrome, or needing to go home and shut yourself off from all human contact for a while.
