A complete traffic SNAFU which can no longer be called a traffic jam but this.
A jam-up of traffic so snarled that it takes hours rather than minutes to get to ones destination.
A situation where you are better off leaving your car and walking the last 10 miles home.

Traffic in the Washington DC Metro area caused by any amount of snow, specifically thundersnow
I spent 13 hours trapped on the GW parkway because of this thundersnow traffuck!
Thundersnow traffic caused 100s of cars to be abandoned by their owners this past week.
Being stuck in stand still traffic, usually at rush hour in major metro areas
I was in a hurry to get home but instead got traffucked
