Virtue Marketing

The act of Virtue Signalling from a corporate standpoint in an effort to ostracize some or all of your audience for the sake of moral superiority.

Stockholder: Why exactly is your company value down 50% in the last month?
CEO: We decided to take a political stance and made an attempt at Virtue Marketing our services. Turns out we told our primary audience we didn't want their money anymore. Whoops!

Virtue singularity

When virtue becomes so concentrated that it collapses into a singularity and forms a black hole of virtue.

1. The Students Against Climate Racism protest culminated in a virtue singularity, from which no intelligible thought could escape.

2. Our laws of civility and rational discourse break down at the virtue singularity.

virtue signalling

A term that is far too often used to dismiss an opposing opinion that is based on morals, ethics, or ideals, when the introduction of such into a debate could critically undermine one's stance.

Waldon: "But you CAN'T flatten that building to build a Walmart! Not only is it an orphanage, but the roof is a rare bird sanctuary, it's built over a graveyard AND an aquifer, hosts the only local live music night in the city on Wednesdays, and is a legally protected heritage site!"

Developer: "Don't listen to that virtue signalling hippy, boys, start up them bulldozers, we got a permit!"

social virtue

Social virtue, makes reference to the active roll of all members within society, in the adhering to the principle of moral fairness in relation with all matters of the economy, such as commerce and trade. Such a measure entails the moral self applied restraint and discipline of every individual within society, refraining from partaking in the excessive pursuit of the accumulating materialistic wealth which is a attribute of greed . Which inevitably results in the over pricing or charging of essential produce and goods, a prospect which is the leading cause for the manifestation of corruption and inevitably hunger and poverty within society.

social virtue is an important attribute and element of the moral and idéaliste-équilibré economies.

virtue billboard

Solar panels that are prominently installed, and look good from the street, but will never create a return on the investment, let alone a buddy thumbs up for the environment.

My friend just installed a virtue billboard to power the 48,000 BTUs of air-conditioning that their cat enjoys while they are at work!

Virtue Signaling

A virtue signaler is a trendy poser ego-maniac who perplexes old school trailblazing liberals. Their ego takes precedence over the actual issue, and it's painfully obvious. It's also a great rebuttal tp a meritless claim that one is racist.

Debator: Remember when we all used to get along? At least it seemed that way. Now social media is perpetuating shock value and BLM seems to have been hijacked by violence.
Virtue signaler: You're just racist. Black Lives Matter!
Debator: Yes they do! What you don't know is that they matter more than your virtue signaling.
