In today's society, these are the creepy kids without a life. They spend all their time online, generally on Neopets, MySpace, LJ, etc. etc. with a large community with lots of others like them. They have usernames like "xmyxheartxisxbrokenx." Scene kids are often seen overusing "x's" and semicolons, as well as underscores.
They're usually obsessed with things that really don't matter online, such as love and fashion.
Often, scene kids have (usually fictitious) "photos" of themselves online, featuring themselves clad in cheesy black Hot Topic wannabe clothing with heavy makeup, showing the peace sign or pretending to look über cool. These photos are either heavily photoshopped or fake altogether.
"Scene kid" is also interchangeable with "creepy Internet kid".
DON'T BE A SCENE KID. THEY'RE CREEPY WANNABES.

BASICALLY scene kids are called scene because they like to go to shows. for some reason everyone finds their
-bandanas
-black (cut-at-home) hair
-dinosaur/robot/polka dot obsessions
-skinny jeans
-checked shirts
-beads
-lingo
-alice bands
-septum rings
-vans/converse
-myspace pictures/captions
-make-up
OFFENSIVE. why? i have no clue to be honest.
some scene kids are just plain RUDE, but then again so are some chavs, some goths, some emos, some gangsta and some indie ppl. SO WHAT? get OVER it. as far as i know, they are not asking you to like the same things as them!!!

The word ''scene'' has recently come into existence. Traces of usage have been reported as early as the late 90's, but not proliferate until 2003.
Although the word ''scene'' is commonly used as a synonym for words such as ''emo'', ''punk'', or ''hardcore'', a more accurate description would be ''in'', ''cool'', or ''popular'', almost exclusivley pertaining to the ''emo'' culture.
Popular teen culture today can be described as scene.

Scene kids are usually mistaken for emo, which they are not. Scene boys are usually extremely cute in their nice tight jeans, band tee's and piercings. They usually attend local shows, with deathcore and hardcore bands, where they show off their extremely cool hardcore dancing moves.

emo+candyraver=scene.
Scene kids dress like a combination of emo and candyravers but they're not depressed like emo kids. They're usually pretty happy but they just like the style of emos and candyravers.
a scene kid has...
choppy, stick-straight hair (either short or long, not in between) dyed more than one color
gauged ears
emo glasses but they'll usually wear contacts
plastic bracelets ('candy' that candyravers wear)
cute little clippies/bows in their hair
wear shirts with small, repeating cutesy pictures like dinosaurs or owls or whatever
usually wear a long striped shirt under another shirt so the stripes poke out the bottom
enjoy childish things like coloring colorpages, etc
spend time with friends taking myspace pictures
HAVE to have a myspace
chipped fingernail polish (usually black)
big sunglasses
tight skinny jeans
converse, vans, and ballet flats
myspace backgrounds are like their shirts: cutesy repeating pictures like dinosaurs or robots or owls or something like that.
listen to bands no one's ever heard of or older bands
type && instead of and
when they comment people on myspace they combine words: omgyouaresoprettyprettyimsojealous. etcetc.
use 'omg' and 'ily' and don't capitalize, but otherwise type normally.

A fake person who sees emo people and wants to become one but the thought of cutting themselves is just too much to handle. But they still copy the look anyway.

i think its really fucked up that people trash talk scene people becasue or probaly one bad expierence they had.
ME being a scene kid myself will tell you what it means.
scene is like one step below emo. Were not dpressed actually we are very energetic and hyper. You can find scene kids at ur local mall. most of us are also known as mall rats. The most important things to a scene kid both guys and girls is:
are tight jeans,
are perfect hair which is normally dyed and cut in random spots giving us all a unique style,
music is also very important its the one of the onyl thigns we can relate to and can explain are feelings.
people often confuse us as emos. Please dont do this because we do not cut areself(not saying all emos do). and were nto depressed.(not saying all emos are once again)
i think you find more bi emos then scene kids btu im bi so yeah. most emos or scenes just say that there bi-sexual btu will only make out with the same sex and they do this for attention.
Another is that we are stuck up,attention whores, who only care about themselfs and uploading millions of pictures of half are faces on myspace,and that we talk black and are obsessed with robots abnd dinosaurs and anime. that is one ill admit to scenes and emos do have some wierd obbsesstion with boxs and other child animation i dont know why so dont ask we just do i fund girls that were bows in thier hair and where hello kitty and invader zim are xtreamly cute
