A fictitious martial arts system invented for the 2002 movie 'Equilibrium', by Kurt Wimmer and starring Christian Bale and Taye Diggs. The gun kata, like all martial arts katas, is a rote-learned sequence of moves and positions which in this case supposedly enabled the gun-wielding fighter to dispatch multiple opponents very quickly using moves based on the statistical distribution of opponents in previous recorded gunfights.
The gun kata made for some very effective and well-choreographed fight scenes in the movie, bringing hand-to-hand style to ranged-weapon combat. However, a fighter attempting to employ such a system in real life would be unlikely to survive very long.

A piece of evidence that almost is nearly irrefutable. It's origin is from a Sherlock Holme's story and it references how a gun smokes directly after being fired. Therefore if somebody is suspected of shooting a person and they having a still "smoking gun" in their possession, it's evidence that is pretty hard to deny.
1. I know Tom shot Jim, he was still holding a smoking gun when I walked into the room.
2. A: "It's thought that Mary died of an overdose."
B: "Well no one knows for sure yet."
A: "They found heroine and a needle with her DNA on it by the bed"
B: "Oh, I didn't know about that smoking gun"

Something which is enforced in Britain, and as a result, only 70 people a year are killed each year by guns, compared with America's 12'000.
And don't say 'that's because America's population is vastly bigger'. It's only 4 times bigger than Britain's, which means only 280 people should be killed by guns each year over there
Switzerland don't have gun control, but they have a low crime rate because they're not constitution-fucking American nutjobs!! In the words of the great Chris Rock; 'You need some bullet control!!'

1. The idea that enforcing weapon laws and limiting the amount of guns that are sold - and to whom - will reduce crimes committed with said weapons.
2. A concept often called "unconstitutional" by the same redneck "Christians" who want the Ten Commandments displayed in federal buildings. Strikes fear into their shrivelled hearts despite the fact that the guns in question are usually machine guns and the like, as opposed to the rifles they like to use when they go 'coon shootin' in the dump out behind the trailer park.
It's hard to commit a crime with a gun if you can't get one. Gun control helps take weapons out the hands of those not responsible enough to deserve them. This is not a difficult concept.
