shove it sideways

A rather rude retort; the insinuation being that the intended audience of this request shove an object of questionable safety & hygiene sideways up their bum.

Teacher to pupil: "Chloe, i hear you flapping your busy little gums back there. Since you're currently receiving a "D" in this class, i'd think you - OF ALL PEOPLE!- would pay attention".
Chloe to teacher: "Shove it sideways, ya old bag!"
Teacher: "Whaaaaa!!?!"

Sideways Gravity

The new phenomenon discoverable only when drinking has occurred, where an object or person moves sideways and/or downwards due to actions not of their own. This phenomenon can ONLY be understood by individuals impaired by alcohol.

Example 1: Person A has been drinking and knocks an object. That object is knocked sideways and then falls.
Person B: SIDEWAYS GRAVITY!

Example 2: Person A and person B are sitting on opposite ends of a bench at a party. Person A stands up and then the whole bench, including person B, tip over sideways.
Person C: SIDEWAYS GRAVITY!

Go Sideways

Jargon; most commonly found among enforcement officers, military, and those in similar circles, including criminals.

Used to describe when a tense situation, usually an operation of some kind, suffers a catastrophic breakdown and devolves into near-chaos, usually requiring violence and/or aggression to restore order.

Likewise, to say something "almost went sideways" means that such a breakdown was narrowly averted.

1) The drug bust went sideways when the dealer found the undercover cop's wire.
2) The bank robbery almost went sideways when someone set off an alarm, but the robbers got their money and got clear before the police could respond.
3) "Man, I hope this chopper patrol doesn't go sideways on us."
