Big 'preach

"Big 'preach" is a term used to express serene gratitude in a casual manner. The term is considered by many a shortened pronunciation of "big appreciate".

Yo homie, thanks for sucking my dick! Big 'preach.

Preach to the choir

It’s a metaphor which basically means tell us something we don’t already know. Usually pertains to a conversation about something related to politics or religion but could mean anything . In church there’s always a preacher every Sunday. The choir boys and girls are the people who sing the melodies. So basically the choir has heard everything the preacher has to say every Sunday. Does newcomers would not have heard what the preacher had said. So when somebody says preach to the choir the metaphor actually means that the choir has already heard everything the preacher has to say. So if somebody’s rambling on and on about a subject that you already know about and agree with you could say well you’re preaching to the choir LOL get it?

Donald trump is an idiot And is the worse president ever !Ya preach to the choir their buddy .

Preaching to the Choir

Spending time trying to convince people who are already behind you.

HR won't hire this guy. They want someone who can "hit the ground running". They must be waiting on a "purple unicorn". I apologize, I'm "preaching to the choir". (LOL. That was 3 metaphors in one explanation. I recommend using Urban Dictionary to look of the other two metaphors)

facebook preaching

When someone does something on facebook and thinks it makes a difference in the environment, the life of a child, etc and starts to get all preachy about it.

"Save the whales. Totally. you can do it without leaving your living room"

-Man, stop your facebook preaching.

That'll preach!

Something said in response to a quote or phrase when a sermon or a lecture can easily be made from it and it be accurate to scripture or text. Usually said in church when someone agrees with something the preacher says.

Man 1: "True humility is not thinking less of yourself; it is thinking of yourself less."

Man 2: "Amen! That'll preach!"

Preach-Speak

When a fundamentalist christian gets so angry/excited about God over the internet that they start to type in all caps. While typing in all caps, they forget to use punctuation marks except for the occasional "!!!!!." These christians have been known to spew out mass chunks of angry bullshit in huge blocks of text. They end the block(s) text with "I'LL PRAY FOR YOU" or "YOU ARE LOST YOU ARE GOING TO HELL."

Person 1: I'm really starting to doubt the story of Jesus was completely true.

Person 2: I mean come on, a virgin birth?

Fundie christian: JESUS IS REAL HE DIEDD FOR ALL OF YOUR SINS HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT THE BIBLE IS THE WORD OF GOD IT IS INFALLIBLE!!!! THE VIRGIN BIRRTH WAS REAL THEY FOUND HER BLOOD IN A TOMB IN ISREAL THIS COUNTRY IS BECOMING GODLESS EVERYONE IS LOST AND IS GOING TO HELL! I WILL PRAY FOR ALL OF YOU SO THAT GOD WILL TAKE YOU BACK!!!!!!!!!"

Person 2: WTH?

Person 1: lol preach-speak
