A made up term used by dog pet parents who have no idea what type of haircut they're wanting or what exactly grooming a dog entails. The term 'puppy cut' has no actual meaning as far as a hairstyle. To groomers, it means 'try to interpret every little thing they say and incorporate it into the groom, because they're probably going to be picky even though they won't be clear of what they're wanting.'
"I wasn't happy with the last stylist I used. She said Bella was completely matted and 6 months is too long to go without getting Bella groomed and she shaved her! It looked terrible so I waited almost a year until it grew back out. So today, I just want her to have a puppy cut."
