politically correct

A pejorative term, and straw man for a political movement fabricated by United States conservatives in about 1980 to discredit the liberal cause, and its ideas.

Whether it be any poorly handled incident where a home office minister gets ticked off for using 'nitty-gritty' in a speech, school children brought before judges for playground racial taunts, to reports of doctors reprimanded for not giving men cervical smears, they all propel an instruction of disapproval about 'politically correct madness' and for one purpose: to mock the entire liberal cause in the process. Plain-talking conservatives who yearn for 'common sense and clear thinking debate' would never fall to such liberal follies.

Thus, any environmental campaign, any discussion about global warming, any case of sexual harassment, or any response to racial prejudice, can be portrayed as the irrational exponents of 'political correctness'.

politically correct

a pejorative invented by conservatives so they can say whatever the hell they want without reprisal.
Kinda like a "get out of racism free" card. Go ahead and call Justice Sotomayor a spic on national radio, and when you get called out for it, blame the media for being too "politically correct".

"All Jews are good for nothing penny-pinchers! I would know, considering I've met every single one of them. What's that? You say I shouldn't assume things? Rot in hell, you politically correct bastard!"

A political dog whistle term used by white people and white allies when they get called out on their white supremacist acts.

Political Correctness

Something that was probably a good idea at first and then got seriously over the top and banned things that didn't offend anybody in the first place.

Eg -

We can't say blackboard (but we can say whiteboard.)
We can't sing Ba Ba Blacksheep (we sing Ba Ba Happy Sheep)

Teacher: Okay, Martin, come and write your name on the blackboard.

Martin: Teacher, I am very offended by you the chalkboard a blackboard, even though it is actually a board that is black.

Teacher: Sorry, Martin, I forgot my Political Correctness!

politically correct

A term used in political debate by conservatives, meaning, roughly, "inclined to disagree with me".

"Maybe we shouldn't bomb other countries needlessly."
"Don't be so politically correct."
"What does that mean?"
"I don't know, but it's what you are."

political refugee

Those innocents not subject to the doctrines and policies mandated for the federal level, public servants have taken private refugee status outside the authority of current political leaders. They are the political refugees and private gentiles.

I died and Jesus carried me to heaven where I ran into Tom Petty who said: "you don't have to live like a political refugee but my life was not over at the death of me." I still write songs spiritually inspired, years after the world said I retired. Rest in peace they say when you die and even after death retirement is a lie. Blessings, respect, and love to all from the inspirational spirits of the past.

Political Elitist

A person, regardless of party affiliation, who thinks that they are better than another person, simply because of their alignment with a particular political party/cause/opinion/etc., and as such, exhibits anger and/or animosity towards another person because they have a different view/opinion.
A precise contradiction of tolerance and acceptance of others, based purely in political/sociological prejudice.

"I'm, like, so totally open minded and accept everybody for who they are. What? What do you mean you voted for a Republican? You baby-killing, seal-clubbing Nazi! How dare you not agree with me! You're just like Hitler"

-or-

"I can't believe those God-hating, hippie, drug-addicts. How dare they want health-care reform! Don't they know that prayer will fix all their ills? If they want health-care, they should just go get a job."

-or-

"You're such a political elitist douche-bag! Why would you start screaming at me, calling me names, and attacking what you perceived as my political affiliation, because I had a ham sandwich for lunch?"
