no-comments-but-crisis policy

a policy and a way of dealing with one's company that has been widely in use since the media/banks/governments reported a financial crisis; it is a justification for various actions: staff reductions, cancelled payrise, lowered wages though none of these are necessary (because the company is doing well and needs no changes); it is a perfect explanation for everything if your general manager plans to fire some employees/cut wages and needs a good reason;

George: Crap, we're going to have staff reductions!
Will: What?
George: Yup, there were rumors, so we asked our boss about it, and despite good results of our company, half of us is going to be fired. We asked why and we heard that it was due to the financial crisis. End of story. Another example of no-comments-but-crisis policy.

Breaking Comment Virginity

verb To be the first one to comment on a picture/video/status on a social networking website.

Usually people want to be the first person to comment on something that they know will soon have a bunch of comments.

"Friend 1: Hey Friend 2! Did you see that picture that Jen put up of her ass in a thong?

Friend 2: Yeah, she just put it up a few minutes ago. I think I'm going to post something, breaking comment virginity on that picture!"

Luke: Nobody posted on your status that you put up an hour ago. I think ill say something and break the comment virginity.

Obi-Wan: Thanks bro

Blue Comment Cancer

The type of commentor in under TikTok videos, who leave badly worded sentences with terrible grammar, that has something to do with the video, in order to get the Blue comment (Which is a comment you can click on to search for whatever the comment is saying)

*Under a TikTok video of a AI-read reddit story about a cheating wife*
Blue Comment Cancerer (The Commentor): "Cheating Wife Reddit Part 2"
*TikTok's algorithm makes the comment blue and clickable, and the Commentor gets likes and validation)

As Scathing As A YouTube Comment

Used after being given a really lame insult. Originated from internet trolls that think insulting someone in the YouTube comments is going to have an impact.

Frank: Dude, you're so dumb
Steve: I know you are, but what am I?
Frank: ...That was about as scathing as a youtube comment

Back-up Comment

When a person writes two or more consecutive comments on facebook, using the subsequent comments to add more detailed information, usually to prevent themselves from appearing ignorant or idiotic to others who may question the legitimacy of the original comment.

Joe's Status: Feel so drowsy today.

Mark's First Comment: Don't you mean, DRAW-SAY :p LOL!

Mark's Second Comment: You had to be there to get that.

Mark's Third Comment: At the party, I mean.

Mark's Fourth Comment: Joe got totally pissed whilst we were playing charades.

Joe's First Comment: Way to go with the back-up comments...douche
