You are simply so over-worked, that you have entered a mental state that no longer accepts memories of actions being executed, discussed, emailed, delivered, etc.

Ergo, beneath your notice in the real world, the economy of hotness in office environments allows one to define a member of the opposite sex as work cute.

Simple-minded, repetitive and some times redundant work.
Using a lawnmower can take the grunt work out of pruning the lawn. ;)
