The back of the hand is very tanned by the sun up to the knuckle and then from the knuckles to the tips of the fingers much lighter because those parts of the fingers wrap under the paddle and are not exposed to the same amount of direct sunlight.

Similar to "goggle tan". Instead, you have "Google" imprinted on your face from being in front of Google's intense UV rays for too long.

A fictional anime-style preteen girl who is the official mascot of Wikipedia. Originally created by Kasuga, an admin on the Japanese Wikipedia. After it was learned that Kasuga draws cartoon child pornography off-site as a "hobby", this caused a minor PR disaster on Wikipedia. (Ironically in Japanese, "tan" refers to someone you want to have sex with - in the case of Wikipedos, a preteen girl apparently).
Wikipedia administrator: "Oh no! If the public finds out that the creator of Wikipe-tan is a hentai child porn freak, this will destroy Wikipedia's reputation!"
