Les Miserables

My personal favorite musical and book. Musical by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel SchΓΆnberg, the book is written by Victor Hugo.
In this story we follow Jean Valjean, an exconvict who becomes good, but is always being chased by a policeman named Javert
Unlike popular belief Les Miserables is not set during the French Revolution, but after in a student led failed revolution called the June Rebellion

Les Miserables recently celebrated their 25th anniversary as a musical, and in London Jean Valjean is being played by Alfie Boe, Marius is being played by Gareth Gates, Cosette is being played by Katie Hall, and until Thurs Sept 15th 2011 Matt Lucas is playing M. Thenardier

"Les Miserables is set during the French Revoultion"

"No its not idiot! It's set during the June Rebellion!"

Miserable Coffee

A cup of coffee, usually Maxwell House, that is drunk in a miserable; sad and depressing, cold situation, to either make the situation either less or even more miserable.

Ugh, what a morning, I'm gonna go get another cup of miserable coffee.

Miserable bastard

A person who behaves in a selfish, self centred, lazy or miserly way; a killjoy.

Can be strengthened by adding fucking as an adjective: "miserable fucking bastard".

"I asked him to lend me 20 dollars and he told me to fuck off! The miserable bastard!"

"Let's go to the party!"
"I can't be bothered. I want to stay at home and read a book."
"You miserable bastard."

Miserable Cow

A person--usually an overweight woman--who is always complaining about something trivial.

Man, my boss is such a miserable cow. If she won the mega-millions jackpot, she'd whine about having to go to the bank.

Dick Misering

This is the verbal/metaphorical comparing of dicks, most often by two men. It usually involves things that cost a lot of money, such as cars, boats, or any sort of monetary investment.

Used by Liam Neeson in the movie Taken.

Man 1: My boat is 42 feet long.
Man 2: My boat is 51 feet long.
Man 1: My car is worth $66,000.
Man 2: My car is worth $74,000.
Man 1: I banged your wife.
Man 2: I banged your brother.
Man 1: Uhhh... I think that's enough dick misering for now.

Les Miserables

A play based on a book which was originally written in French. All of the characters, with the exception of Marius and Cosette, die. It is set during the French Revolution. It was originally preformed on Broadway in 1987.

Do you hear the people sing? Lost in the valley of the night. It is the music of a people who are climbing to the light. For the wretched of the earth there is a flame that never dies. Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise. They will live again in freedom in the garden of the lord. They will walk behind the plowshare. They will put away the sword. The chain will be broken and all men will have their reward. Will you join in our crusade? Who will be strong and stand with me? Somewhere beyond the barricade is there a world you long to see? Do you hear the people sing? Say do you hear the distant drums? It is the future that they bring when tomorrow comes.
