book banning

Wow, a defintion where you get to listen to someone ramble on about why they are against censorship. Well, here goes:
Book banning is when books are removed from children's reading lists because of sexual content, death, violence, magic, anti-religious themes, drugs, homosexulality, transgenders, transvesites, and any other fucked up reason those conservative, bible-banging southerners can come up with! (Excuse my French). Some books, such as the Harry Potter series were banned because they contain magic and sorcery and the eye of some religious schools, magic is the work of the devil and kids shouldn't read about because it will take them away from there faith. A kid can read Harry Potter and still believe in God, for God's sake. Some books were banned because a character was homosexual, or a transvesite, and homosexuality is considered evil! Sometimes, a character will dress up as a boy (or a girl) and the book will be banned. A character will die of natural causes, and the book will be banned. A character will say the word "pee" or "poop" and the book will be banned. A character will commit suicide and the book will be banned. A character will say the word sex and the book will be banned. A character will talk about death or say the word "die" and the book will be banned. A character will say a swear word such as "crap" or "damn" and the book will be banned. I can understand books being banned because of racism or vivid sexual scenes, or vivid violent scenes. Banning books from children does nothing except make the children more curious as to why the books have been banned! However, I believe that schools can ban whatever they want, because it's not always up to the children to make the best choices on what kind of book they should read. But banning books from libraries is WRONG! People have the freedom to read whatever they want and the fucking government should have absolutely nothing to do with it! I want you to end book banning and censorship NOW!

To all you book banning bastards out there: GO FUCK YOURSELF!

book lust

When you want buy a book but you can't (yet) because of various reasons — it's either too expensive, you already have a copy but this one has a really pretty book cover, or you haven't finished reading the last one you bought.

I'm on a book lust. I want to buy these books but I'm so broke.

project book

this is something between two to five people in a group of friends or family who devise ideas to put their mis-placed lives on track. They do this by breaking down each idea they want to accomplish and adding rules and comments about the idea. They cleverly put the idea into clear 'phases' and take one on at a time to help complete the set out goal.

All together the group of friends help each other stay within realistic dreams and put it in writing in a book or note pad and store it somewhere safe where it is only for the members of the 'project book' clan to see and read. Changes and edits are allowed to take place and there is also a timing scale to help stay in the plan.

Usually between friends there is an about three ideas often more with tiny littles phases coming off each main idea.

Loosing weight, getting fit or in shape, toning up is very common.
followed by a 'how to get with guys'
and 'lets get our reputation up at school.

its a simple idea that becomes complex, yet fun and motivating.

a: im so over living life like this, being called a fattie, having bad rep at school and not having any boys. what can we do to help this?

e: easy! a project book!!! for the both of us, to find our goals make them realistic, list out steps to accomplish them, get together to update them and keep each other motivated!

a: sounds good, where do we start though?

e: we need a book. then we need to find out 'main ideas' and list the phases to put each one at reachable levels. Then we keep updates and edits and keep each other motiviated. its so simple

a: yeah. i can easily see how it can help get everything good and happy around the place again, im sure it will work.

THREE MONTHS LATER...

e: see i told we we would be healthy, fit and slim, popular and loving social life and totally digging the guy attention from all round!

a: gotta love that project book!

Story Booking

By adding a story book end-after when somebody is done talking to add humor to a typically dark topic.

Grahm: Hey, that looks just like my dad who left me when I was a baby...
Jacob: Said Grahm sadly.
Grahm: Are you story booking me?
Jacob: You're damn right I was.

Book Bomb

A coordinated effort to buy an author's book on opening day so as to dramatically increase the author's chance of rising in the ranking system. The higher an author climbs in the ranking system, the more exposure they will get, thus increasing their overall sales of the book.

Example: "Hey OJD, today is Enola Gay's Book Bomb! Don't forget to buy her book "The Prepared Family Cookbook!"
