Honey Pot

An attractive male, usually between the ages of 21-30. Must be tall, athletic, fine, smokin', employed, large worm.

One that would evoke a totally appropriate holler or "wooop" from an attractive female.

The traditional predatory role of the male and female mating interactions are reversed, and the woman in the presence of a honeypot becomes the predator. This sometimes results in verbal harassment, or sometimes a "rape-kiss."

To obtain a honeypot, follow the fool-proof S.K.E.T.C.H. method:

S - Separate from the girl pack;
K - Know your audience (talk sports, cars, business);
E - Easy target (be an easy target)
T - Troubled (act lost/confused..."where are my friends?")
C - Coerce with a shot (tequila usually does the trick);
H - HONEYPOT OBTAINED!

When one finds the best honeypot she's ever seen, she may call that guy a "pooh-bear." To be used sparingly!

That honey pot is makin' me all sticky...

I'd take that honey pot home tonight.

Wooooop! Honey pot!!!!

Girls... I think I might have found a pooh-bear. He's a 10!

copper-potting

The act of putting someone in their place with physical force.

That bloke is a right tool. He needs a good old fashion copper-potting.

If he looks at my pint again I am going to copper-pot him.

Jump the pot

A petty crime that occurs frequently at a shared coffeemaker. Someone comes in and pulls the coffee pot out of the drip stream and catches a cupful for himself or herself, then replaces the pot and walks off letting the pot continue to fill. This is jumping the pot and it either signals a low IQ or a psychopathic disregard for other people. How smart does one have to be to realize that coffee running through a drip filter comes through strong at first and weak at the finish? Interrupting this flow either early or late queers the pot for everyone else by producing a final brew that is either stronger than desired or pathetically weak. It’s simple physics, not beyond the intelligence of your average coffee drinker. So it must be the case that pot-jumpers are simply moral scum. (The one exception would be if you were able to jump the pot exactly in the middle range of flavoring. Then, arguably, the two interrupted halves would blend to form the desired brew. However, my extensive observations of pot-jumpers, who drift in to the coffee station from important meetings about empathy, social justice, and the perils of microaggressions – I work at a non-profit – tells me that even the practice of waiting for a point near the middle of the process is universally rejected by even the most socially-conscious jumpers.)

Synonym: Potus Interruptus

Sign at the coffee station: PLEASE, DON’T JUMP THE POT.

Possible uses: β€œHey dude, I’ve been waiting here for ten minutes for coffee and you waltz in and jump the pot.”

β€œArg, this coffee tastes like shit. Someone’s been jumping the pot.

pot-hunting

The activity in the sport of rowing where-by a crew, athlete or club selects the events in which they compete on the basis of how likely they are to win. So-called because of the peuter or glass pots (drinking vessels) which are traditionally presented to the winners of rowing events.

It allows competitors to achieve the 'success' of a win by mearly finding an event of low enough standard for them to win be able to win. This effectively under-mines the notion that "to win, one must train hard and achieve a high standard". For this reason the practice of pot-hunting is generally looked-down upon by the rowing community, where hard-work, dedication and selflessness are valued attributes.

In everyday life it would be akin to only making sexual approaches to ugly or slutty girls/boys, so as to be sure of success.

Adam, the only reason you want to enter York (poor quality Regatta in North-east U.K.) is because you're pot-hunting!!!
