Zombie Futurism

A trend or approach in contemporary technology-based art characterized by the uncritical and repetitive use of new technologies, resulting in works that prioritize style, novelty, and commercial appeal over substance, depth, and innovation.

The gallery's latest exhibition was criticized for its zombie futurism, showcasing pieces that seemed more like tech demos than thought-provoking art.

mid-future

The point after carrying out a bad idea, at which you immediately realize it was a bad idea.

Johns car overheated, so he pulled to the side of the road to check it out. Without thinking about it, he grabbed a paper towel and used it to protect his hand from the heat as he removed the radiator cap. I'm sure John thought this was a perfect mid-future situation as the boiling antifreeze from the radiator sprayed all over his arms and face.

made of future

Used to describe anything that, through the application of science so advanced it may as well be magic, exhibits seemingly impossible behaviors or properties. The key is that the behavior/property on exhibit only -seems- impossible; if the observer had an understanding of advanced science, it would make perfect sense. "Made of future" used to be applicable only in speculative fiction, but is increasingly appropriate in the context of the real world.

Usage "Wait...how does the thin fabric of a guard uniform stop a knife blade?" "Dude, the uniform is made of future". Note: actually, it's made of Kevlar fibers saturated with non-Newtonian goo that locks the fibers in place under sudden impacts, but "made of future" is simpler.

future perfect

An event in which hyperdistributism solves the transfinite line; creating a perfect capitalist-Marxist system.

Future perfect employs the transfinite line; in which the average of the squares of the distances between the ergodicic points and the transfinite line is equal to the tau of the slope of the line.

This is transfinite economics: a perfect solution to poverty.

North, to the future

The last words of former Governor Sarah Palin's goodbye speech.

Used for failed humorous effect when looking for something and you have no idea where it is.

"Where did the paper go?"
"North, to the future."

Future Bounce

Future Bounce is an electronic music genre derivated from Future House and Melbourne Bounce.
It's known to have more bouncy effects than most of Future House tracks (Except RetroFuture, Colour House genres).

It used to be noticed with very short lead shots in the drop in general, before the producer duo Bad Reputation remixed "STAY" by Justin Bieber and The Kid LAROI and the style used went viral : a lot of reverb is used on Future Bounce drop leads nowadays.
However, Brooks was doing so too even before Bad Reputation, and is one of the Future Bounce pioneers.

"My favorite future bounce track from Jay Eskar is 'Apex'!"
"Did you listen to Brooks latest future bounce track?"
"I prefer Curbi and Mike Wiliams' 'Take Me There' over their new tunes"
