The difference between neat and correct.
In programming, a borrow checker verifies that pointers are not used in dangerous ways during compilation time to to ensure that memory is managed safely without the need of a garbage collector.
The guarantees it provides ensure the program is correct in it's usage of memory and that no illegal memory access (double-free, segmentation fault ...) is possible (even in multi threaded situation).
Because in the case of rust, it allows writing a more readable code that is always proven to have no memory issues and often resulting in better performances than their C / C++ equivalent, it is believed in the rust community that it will become a common feature for future languages in the software development industry.
- Did you know about 60% of windows internal crashes are caused by illegal memory access?
- Yes, that is because C++ does not have a borrow checker so the windows source code can't be proven to be safe.

When a person, or people, take a concept from a popular TV show - usually a catchphrase - and try and make it funny in every day life. Effectively borrowing the line to try and create humor.
Guy, who is not Dane Cook, walks into a party and yells "Wait a second?! Who shit on the coats!"
This is an example of borrowed humor. Expectations were not confounded, thence humor did not arise from it.
Internet borrowing, is in short, downloading something from the Internet that would otherwise cost money. Such as a book, or movie.
Usually this has the intent of deleting the content after being used/read/watched. This is usually used to avoid using the words download, pirate, or torrent, in online discussions to avoid bot based data mining techniques.
Alternate use is borrowing the use of someones Internet connection, usually without permission.
Buy (or internet borrow) a copy of the book, is really good.
A person with a loan (or mortgage), who hasn't been able to pay the instalments on time. In such case the bank may or may not change the conditions of the repayment to slightly more favourable ones. Because the borrower might not be able to pay back the loan, the loan contract is half dead. Like a zombie.
Bank employee 1: I don't get you, is this a risky loan, or is the guy paying the instalments on time?
Bank employee 2: He has barely paid any instalment on time, he is a proper zombie borrower.
A phrase after somebody makes an apology but you tell them it's too little, too late. You could see they were walking in to the mistake and their apology just won't cut it.
If somebody carelessly spills a pint of beer on a pool table and says "sorry". You reply "borrowed horses".
Rented: The quality or condition of being owned, but not to that extreme. Also, nearly owned.
Borrowed: Nearly rented; fraction of rented.
Whoa! On my way home, I got rented (almost owned) by a car!
Ariane flicked her shoe at Sidney's head and rented her with it!
Nathan and Justin were throwing small paperballs at people. (example of borrowed)
If you are rented or borrowed, think of it as an escape from ownage.

That mothafucka disrespected me, he's on borrowed time.
