elevator roulette

elevator roulette, noun phrase. A game one can play when one is the sole occupant of an elevator. The object of the game to fart, preferably a really smelly one, gambling that you will be able to get off before the next person gets on, preferably shortly before the next person gets on.

Getting in, she immediately found herself trapped in a stalled elevator in which some odious person had just played elevator roulette. She gagged as her eyes began to water, the overpowering stench permeating her freshly shampooed hair and the expensive silk blouse she had just had drycleaned.

Irish elevator

A primitive home security technique. In some old homes with multiple stories, it was commmon to have a door on the highest floor that says "Treasury: Do Not Enter" or something equally enticing. This door, however, would not lead to a treasury, but to nothing but thin air. The would-be criminal would then, of course, be fucked.

"Boy, honey, good thing I put in that Irish elevator last summer!" Bob exclaimed as he peeled burglar bits off the lawn.

Grease The Elevator

1) To screw up, make a big mistake (aka) making something that falls to the ground, fall or fail even faster.

2) "Self Pleasure" with some form of lubricant. She totally busted him watching porn, and "Greasing the Elevator."

1) Man, Tyson really "Greased the Elevator" in that meeting.

2) When she walked in - Tyson had porn on the TV, a giant jar of KY; so it was pretty obvious he was about to "Grease the Elevator."

mood elevator

An increasingly popular component of corporate brainwashing that became fashionable in the mid 2000's.

The purpose of the mood elevator is to trick employees who are tired of their mind numbingly depressing jobs, shitty bosses, and lousy paychecks that their problems are only figments of their imaginations and not real problems at all.

Boss: Looks like someone has got a case of the 'Mondays'. Maybe you need to try raising your mood elevator.

Peon: You can take your mood elevator and shove it up your ass!
