When you are unable or unwilling to show those around you your true feeling of pain and sorrow

In Amsterdam, I became so high that I went to bed. My roommates in the hostel began to masterbate in the bunks next to me. Paralyzed with fear and too much marijuana, I was crying inside until they were finished.

When your so depressed you dont care about anything anymore and become dead on the inside thus dead inside, its pretty much another way of saying clinical depression
