pungs

pungs/pounds is used in the south east of england in the countryside. It is some sort of an abbreviation to the formal word pounds or money.
The word has its roots in Kidlington at the Oxford Airport where employees of an aviation company used the word especially in the end of each month when money was short, just before payday. Example: My bloody pungs haven't arrived yet, its the end of the month looking forward to my pungs/pounds.

My bloody pungs/pounds haven't arrived yet, its the end of the month looking forward to my pungs/pounds.
