This is a hybrid of slag and blog and incorporates the idea of someone who slags someone or something in a blog.
In his latest item, blogger John Smith slogs the X company and its president for blatantly making a conditional land deal with the Y company and then hiring consultants. It is an obvious slog by Smith, who doesn't care if he knows all the facts. In his opinion, he's a blogger and isn't bound by the same moral and ethical guidelines and terms as traditional media, particularly if he is not identified in his blog site.

how a northerner would say “slug in my bum”
sometimes in reference to a big poo that is just raring to get out, see “slog out’bom” but often just used as a casual, every-day phrase. can also be used as an insult.
slog in't'bom “are you stupid? do you have a slog in’t’bom ?”
Laboriously searching through reems of blogs searching for that one special gem that will make it all worthwhile.
Rutger found blog slogging the web looking for people with similar interests tedious and time comsuming.

reference to having a poo, “slug out bum” in a northern english accent. can be a light-hearted mockery of the accent when used by a southerner, otherwise simply a northerner’s way of announcing that they are going to have a poo.

When a seriously bored individual spends hours doing nothing but looking through facebook, to the point of madness or suicide, whichever comes first.
X: "Have you seen Andy? I swear he's spent four hours on facebook! Hasn't he got better things to do?"
Y: "Oh you know how he is, probably just having another Facebook slog"
