electoral college

An idea put in place to prevent one city, region, or demography from deciding who the next president is. The main goal is to force a presidential candidate to have to win over voters all across the country. Although it doesnt always work, it often times prevents what happens in New York state, from happening on a larger scale. Even though New York state is relatively half and half on the political spectrum, every election New York state ends up being won for the democrats because New York City is about 70% liberal and contains about half of the state's population.

Without the Electoral college, what happens almost every election in New York state could happen to the whole country, where the interests of one region determine the effects on the whole country

Winstanley College

A pleasant academic institution located in the idyllic north-west of England. Among its proudest exploits is producing an utterly marvellous range of A-Level results from its carefully-nurtured students.

The best department by far is the English Department, staffed by the finest minds in England. The students are pretty clever too.

Opponents of the college enjoy criticising an overrated elitism, though many find themselves utterly humiliated at their inability to use apostrophes and spacing their commas correctly.

Winstanley College:

"Supposed to be the best college in North West England.
Where infact its not"

COMMENT: Hmmm...shame about your misuse of 'its'.

"although they are slightly better then chavs, just."

COMMENT: Inability to place a space behind a comma.

VERDICT: Not college material.

Winstanley College

The best college in the North-West of England, not merely because of its results, but because of the wonderful, down-to-earth students who inhabit it. Snobs are few and far between. The grade point system is simply a necessity, as so many compete to share in the true Winstanley experience. Winstanley students are full of fun, have a zest for life, are dedicated, and can actually spell! However, some jealous people who are either peeved at not achieving good enough grades to enter, or were simply unsociable during their time here, think otherwise. Oh well.

Person 1: What’s life like at Winstanley college?

Person 2: It’s great! We have so much freedom, great friends, fab teachers and get good results because we really enjoy our time here

Person 1: sigh I wish I went to Winstanley college too!

Marist College

A truly awesome school. Despite its location in the depressed city of Poughkeepsie, NY, Marist is still the shit. Marist students are known for being able to balance schoolwork and partying. A really chill school with great people and a great campus. Anyone who badmouths or disses Marist is probably pissed because they either couldn't get into the school, or are just too dumb to go there. Marist students can be found at many locations in town like Hatters, Backstreet, Rennies, and The Chance. If you're looking for a great time and the true college experience, come to Marist. It's the best four years of your life, so make the most of it.

Marist College was the best experience of my life

Babson College

Babson is #1 in entreprenuership, but that's not the only thing the college is recognized for. Babson is well known in the business world for finance and accounting. The college provides a great foundation for a career in business by requiring courses such as Marketing, OB, Finance, Accounting, Calc, Statistics, etc.

There is a diverse student body with a huge international population which brings a variety of cultures to campus. This is the only place that allows students to start and run their own businesses as freshmen. This entrepreneurial spirit continues into the rest of the curriculum throughout the four years with consulting experiences and other work opportunities.

The spirit of the student body has improved over the past few years. With the addition of a new Dean and the infusion of new students, there has been a lot more support for the community. Athletics have been on the rise, with two NEWMAC championships this fall, one NECC and many more to come in the winter and spring.

Babson is a great place for individuals who are driven and looking for a school to grow themselves and potentially a business!
