The dirty south is the cultural and geograpical South of Black America. This term was made popular by hip-hop in the 1990's. This region consists of twelve states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky (debatable) Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. Historically, each of these states were part of the Confederacy, therefore being former slave states, and the Blacks in this region take pride in the customs they share and the struggles they have faced as a group. This people of this region also share a bond from fighting the stereotypical view by Blacks of other regions as being backwards and country.
The term "dirty" exemplifies the conditions the Blacks of this region have lived, survived, and thrived in since Blacks were brought over as slaves.
The Dirty South is the opposite of what is depicted when one thinks of Dixieland.

noun; a school in the glenellyn area. extremely small. and everyone has known each other since like 6th grade. you kno everything about everyone. it is also referred to as club south. because when you say one thing it'll be spread round the whole school by the next day. there is dances in a lunch room, Everyone is in sum click. ((the geeks, preps, emos, gothics,))and the majority of ppl are fake, just trying to be recognized. it is in a town located in bumble fuck, where the only thing to do is go to tacobell or los b's la88te at night, and sit in the parking lot drunk. It has the wierdest groups of people. The school takes everything too seriosuly and has hall monitors that patrol everything,(and waddle!) thinking that when you dont have a pass; the whole world may end. it has rivals of wheaton warrenville south and glenbard west-(snobs.)Where eveyrone hates eachother. it majorly lacks school spirit, we have no classes, a shytty looking school, and no money. cuz of the fricken referendum. cuz our school spends money on bogus stuff no1 cares about. even though there have sum teachers that are fuckin awesome there are a lot some that should fuck themselves, that have nothing better to do then cause trouble cuz the can.or look at kid's myspaces and suspend them. There are no windows, and it looks like a prison . The mascot is a raider, and our colors are red white and blue (how original!)

A borough in New York City notorious for its high crime, poverty, fires, culture, and music. Before the end of World War II the South Bronx had a large Jewish and Italian community. After the war and the white flight, the community became composed largely of Puerto-Ricans, Puerto-Rican Americans, and African Americans. In the 70s arson swept the region and could be seen from Yankee stadium. The fires left some parts of the area looking like a war zone. (See the movie Wolfen). The South Bronx has had a high crime rate, but began declining in the 90s due to tighter police control and peace negotiations among enemy gangs(The opposite of what happened to the Los Angeles ghettos during that time). The city has spawned break dancing and some of the earliest forms of Hip-Hop Music like Afrika Bambaata and GM Flash. It has also contributed to the Freestyle (Latin Hip-Hop) and House music movements. Several celebrities and stars came from the South Bronx which include Italian-American actor Al Pachino, Nuyorican actress Jennifer Lopez, "kings of Bachata" Aventura, salsa artists Willie Colon and La India, and several members of the Texas Western Miners with the first all-Black line up in the NCAA.

That small point of light that gets through between the top of where a woman’s thighs meet and the bottom of her vagina. Only a girl with the right figure has the south star. Skinny girls’ thighs don’t touch and fat girls don’t let any light through.
