3:D

A smiley face with an asshat. It can be taken various ways. Most often used as a happy and silly expression. But other times it can be taken as an offense, calling someone an asshat. Lastly it is sometimes used to make a person feel better about themselves when someone complains at them for something they did.

1. Bill: Dude I won the internetz!

Bobby: 3:D

2. Bill: I cheated with your girlfriend.

Bobby: 3:D

3. Bobby: cheated on my girlfriend? You bastard!

Substance D

1. Substance D is a fictional addictive amphetamine-like psychoactive drug, also known as "Slow Death", "Death" and "D", that is depicted in Philip K. Dick's novel "A Scanner Darkly". It's derived from the fictional flower "Mors ontologica".

2. By extension, Substance D can refer to amphetamine (speed).

"What he sold me as 'candy' actually turned out to be 'Substance D'."

This is a more subtle way to refer to amphetamine in a conversation if you don't want to attract too much attention.

44 of D

The Borg known as Seven of Nine on the Star Trek Voyager TV series. Played by actress Jeri Ryan.

Also called "36 of D" by those who are nearsighted, inexperienced, or don't know a great handful when they see it.

"Hell yeah I'd do 44 of D, I mean Seven of Nine. With or without her Borg gear. Uhhh... do you think it's really true about her metal pussy teeth?"

drop d

Guitar tuning where the E string is tuned to D. This allows a guitarist to play power chords with ease and speed. Many people tend to think that drop D tuinng is used simply by beginners, but if that's what you think then you are probably not a very good guitarist yourself. People who play extremely technical guitar often use this tuning simply for being able to have a huge range of what they can play without sacrificing great speed.

On the other end of the spectrum, drop d is used acoustically for a lot of blues music.

"Never Again" by Nickelback
