It means we’re through around grass
Hey man we’re through around grass!
A pike fish will eat and destroy smaller trout in a pond, and given enough time, eliminate the trout.
Ooohhh…don’t tell Jimmy you’re buying the drinks! He’ll go through your wallet like a pike through a trout pond before you get a look at the liquor!
Typically used when referring to project resourcing:
When a particularly stressful part of a project has been seen out, and resources will not be stretched in future months. In essence as the wombat passes through the snake, the skin is extremely stretched (similar to the metaphorical human resources). When the wombat has fully passed, the resources are not as stretched and more capable of dealing with new issues.
Person 1: Our resources are looking very slim next month
Person 2: I wouldn't be too stressed, I feel like the wombats gone through the snake, and we should be back to normal in a few weeks
A term used when you strongly agree with something that was just stated.
Dontrell: "Girl, that party was off the hook!
Shaniqua: "MmmHmm girl, WhenEVER you get through!!"
Bill Murphy: I didn’t even hit her
Frank Murphy: bill if you even lay a finger on your sister I’ll put you through a fucking wall
The act of passing into another state. In reference to time, "through" is often used to establish the opening and closing of boundaries, as in May through August, or Monday through Thursday. In business, "through" is used to describe actions that must be completely by EOD, which is universally acknowledged as 5:00 PM MST (as referenced in the 1980 American comedy film, "9 to 5," starring Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, and Dolly Parton).
"We will be accepting form submissions through Wednesday, February 23." "Does that mean by 5:00 PM MST?" "Yes, Cortni. That's exactly what it means."
