takeshi's castle

The Japanese Gameshow all the way from Japan, and that makes you think about the second to last letter of the alphabet. 100 Nimble nutters are lead by the man in the tan General Lee over a series of hard challenges (usually between 6 and 7). The Contestants that fail to complete these challenges set by Count Takeshi to defend his castle, are eliminate form the game. Those that survive are sent into a last charge against Count Takeshi's Emerald Guard in a n attempt to storm the castle. They drive dodgems with little paper targets on them (sometimes sensors) which they must protect. If the paper rings are pentrated by the highly accurate water cannons of the emerald guard (or a laser hits their sensor) they have failed. They must hit Count Takeshi's sensor to win. There have only ever been 7 winners! Great game show on challenge and trouble. In america it is called Extreme endurance challenge.

An example challenege is Knock Knock. There are simply four sets of four doors. Two doors of each are only paper, the others are made of wood. The contestant must run through all the doors without finding a wooden door and injuring themselves (which is rare)

Bishops Castle

Bishops Castle, a very small ''town'' with a high concentration of loonytoons due to its isolated place in the space time continuum.

For genuine 1970's material/furniture/thought processes, a great place to visit.

Locals dont take kindly to strangers.....so dont stand still too long, or they may, in their drug addled, pot induced haze, lynch you

Bishops Castle is stuck in a timewarp.....set TARDIS to 1970 and see for yourself.

Beware single mums.....they're always on the lookout for new sperm donors!

Castle Doctrine

The term "Castle Doctrine" is used when describing law that primarily relates to the use of deadly force in situations of self defence. In simple english, it is the idea that a persons home is their castle and that any unlawfull intrution is considered a threat. The homeowner is then legaly justified in using lethal force against the intruder.

The opposite of Castle Doctrine is "Duty to Retreat" A simple example would be a person walking down a street at night who is confronted by an assailant. Legaly, the victim must try to escape or "retreat" before resorting to lethal force. But if retreat is impossible, then the person is justified in using lethal force.

Castle Doctrine originaly only applied to a persons home. However, in modern times it has been applied in different laws to mean a persons property, not just inside the home. A pesons car is also defined as a part of the home. Thus a carjacking victim is justified in shooting their assailant. Some states apply a persons place of employment to fall under Castle Doctrine.

Castle Doctrine also makes it next to impossible for an assailant (Or their family) to sue their victim after the fact.

The homowner shot and killed the burglar in her house. Her actions where justified under the "Castle Doctrine" law's of that state.
