democracy is a political system that is in theory about majority rule. People(in theory) get a say in the goverment, but most people don't know what they are talking about so they're a menace to people who use logic. Most people vote in democracies out of choice but most people don't vote based on thinking. Most studies show that people who vote usually don't know what their candidate wants and is only a redditor who thinks memes are valid opions.
democracy is supposedly great, but what makes countries with democracy work is not that system. It's lack of foreign government interventions.

democracy might be a horrible system, but it's better than anything else (except a WORKING communism, which really would only work if everyone was on marijuana)

What most Europeans bitch that America doesn't really have. What they fail to realize is that our republic is superior to a democracy. A true democracy is mob rule.

Any of a number of forms of government which at their core have some degree of decision-making performed by a system of voting. Exactly who can vote (franchisement) often varies quite widely, and has historically in many countries been divided along lines of age, gender, religion, economic status, class, race, ethnic group, language, nationality, and citizenship. The degree of participation can also vary. A direct democracy, for example, would in principle have all decisions made by popular vote. Most democratic nations use some form of representative democracy, whereby voters designate certain people or groups to make decisions for them.
Though both the United States and the United Kingdom have democratic elements, their political systems are quite different.

In Malaysia, it is just a memory. During the General Election 13, a corrupt political party maintained its reigns of power. This done through means of importing foreigners with immediate citizenship, phantom voters - the dead still talk and etc.
What is Democracy? I don't know, we live in Malaysia.
