Exit-level literature refers to extremely depressing novels and works. The term βexit-levelβ was a nickname given to liberal arts that were the opposite of entry-level art, such as literature, music etc. But over the years, and the redefinition from 4chan, Exit-level literature, although not difficult to read, came to mean novels and works of an extremely melancholic and depressing nature.
