cash in your chips

to leave an unproductive relationship with a lover
to abandon someone who doesnt give you her/his love back in return
to finish a relationship with someone
to finish with something, to leave it, to stop trying for something

When in love with someone and the person doesnt love you back and doesnt want you. In the song "There is your trouble" by Dixie Chicks the lyrics appear: "Why Don't You Cash In Your Chips Why Don't You Call It A Loss...Not Such A Big Loss, Chalk It Up to better luck.." - they sing about a boy who is frustrated from his relationship with a girl who doesnt love him...
When people are finishing with playing in a casino, they cash their chips, so a casino cashier gives them back their money, their money they won,or gives them at least the rest....

cash on the barrel head

it means basically 'cash and carry'... you pay someone cash on the spot (placing the cash atop a barrel that's for sale) and they in turn release the goods to you right then and there - and you carry it (the barrel) away!

I see that you're selling your car on line. Can I give you cash on the barrel head and I drive away with the title?

cash out curse

When you play onlinepoker and you have won a big amount it is nice. But then if you cash out some of that money the pokersite is giving you many many bad beats. That is called the cash out curse. They are mad at you for taking money of their site so they let you lose on purpose. It is not so nice.

You cash out 1000$. Then you go play againg. You have pocket kings for example. Flop comes K22. Opponent moves all in, you instacall ofcourse. He shows 1010. Then the turn is gonna be a 10 and so is the river. That has nothing do to with poker. It is the site that let's you lose on purpose. If someone says "that's poker". Then use dirty words as much as you can. That is called the cash out curse
