mass cultural delusion

A common misbelief shared by many of the same culture or region.

Penny: Um, me, okay, I'm Sagittarius, which probably tells you way more than you need to know.

Sheldon: Yes, it tells us that you participate in the mass cultural delusion that the Sun's apparent position relative to arbitrarily defined constellations and the time of your birth somehow effects your personality.

Penny: Participate in the what?

Immature Autist Delusion

When ignorant people delude themselves and think that all autists are immature mainly due to mental retardation. This is of course false as most autists have been proven to be highly intelligent and mild functioning and autism itself isn't a mental illness. It is more of a developmental disorder and the more emotionally immature autists would generally be referred to as the Spergs.

Too much people suffer from immature autist delusion. I can guarantee you right now that I may be autistic but I always strive to be highly mature.

Trump Delusion Syndrome

When someone is so blindly supportive of lying politicians like Donald Trump that anything they do is automatically good or part of some greater plan no matter how bad it is or how often he lies about it or changes his position on it. They can no longer tell right from wrong, fact from fiction or puppet from patriot. Eventually they become so delusional they say things that are totally deranged

Normal person: Did you hear Trump handed over our nuclear codes to Putin?
Delusional person: That is a good thing
Normal person: How is that a good thing?
Delusional person: I don't know but if a lying politician like Trump did it then it must good
Normal person: You better see a Doctor, you have Trump Delusion Syndrome (TDS) so bad you've become deranged.

Weapons of Mass Delusion

George Bush's (pick one)excuse for going to war to scoff up some oil, regardless of how many people have to die for it.

Soon to be former President G.W. Bush used the Bush trademark "Weapons of Mass Delusion" to rush into a war that the rest of the world was trying desparately to stop.

Delusions of Grand Jury

The thing that a court jury demonstrates when they make decisions and rulings based more on beliefs outside of law, or to appear more important than their jury position entails. It usually involves decisions based on facts that don't pertain to the actual charges in any way.

It doesn't have to be a grand jury. That just makes the pun work is all.

Everyone knew that Mr. Chang was a dangerous assassin, but the prosecution had no legal evidence whatsoever. Luckily, the jury showed delusions of grand jury by sentencing him to death. See in this one, the grand jury reference does make sense.

The jurors exhibited delusions of grand jury when they convicted the man solely on the basis that he liked to carve wooden figurines.
