deflector defense

Deflector Defense- when one cannot provide a good reason for not participating in an activity that they have to turn it around and deflect blame where it does not belong. This is generally done in effort to move the attention away from the issue at hand and put it on someone else.

"Stephanie is putting up her deflector defense again to avoid why she will really not attend Girls Night Out".

"Uh oh, here comes Stephanie's deflector defense again. Let's be prepared Kathy!"

"Stephanie always uses a deflector defense when she has lame excuses for not doing something."

thrust defense

A defensive maneuver employed in beer pong where the team that does not have the ball pelvic thrusts the air behind their cups in an attempt to disrupt the concentration of the team throwing the ball.

We were getting destroyed in beer pong, but we managed to turn it around when we deployed thrust defense.

It's time for some thrust defense!

Their thrust defense really messed me up, I couldn't concentrate with all that air humping going on.

Defensive Tackle

Position on the defense, specifically d-line. Usually really big, at or above 6'2" and 270 lbs. Don't get much recognition unless they are a superstar, like if they get a lot of sacks or pass deflections, or picks, or very rarely, pick 6's. They are responsible for plugging up the holes so running backs and quarterbacks can't rush to gain yardage. Often mistaken for an easy job. They handle the grunt work so the linebackers, db's, coaches, and owner look good. Numbered usually from 60 to 79 or 90 to 99.

I play defensive tackle in football. I'm not terribly good at it, but I'm not terrible either

Defensive Tackle

A position on the Defensive Line in football. There are usually two of them. Their jobs are to close up holes so the running backs and quarterbacks can't rush to gain yardage. They are usually over 270 pounds and are like at or over 6'2". Really underrated, don't get much recognition unless they get a lot of sacks, pass deflections, and/or interceptions or pick 6's. Most people don't want to do it because they want a glory position, or the think it is too easy. But the D-tackles do the dirty work so that the linebackers, db's, coaches, and owner look good

Man, Aaron Donald is A freaking monster of a defensive tackle

PWH Defense

The PWH Defense stands for, the "Pee Wee Herman" defense. It is derived from the common argument, made famous by Pee Wee as..."I know you are, but what am I". It is used by shitheads on the internet who have no argument, but must say SOMETHING. It can also apply to a third party, meaning, if I say something about person A, the respondent will claim that you are actually talking about person B.

It is fallacious and stupid, and should never be used, unless you are Pee Wee Herman. Then it's ok.

Examples of the PWH defense are as follows...
I said "you should go find a hobby", he responded "no, you should!".
I said "trump is an idiot"; he responded "no, you're an idiot!".
I said "trump should be investigated for his many crimes"; he said "you spelled Hillary wrong".

scoobydoo defense

Defense: blame the messenger, try to shift the focus from the crime to the press that reports it.

At the end of each episode of Scooby Doo, the villain always says, “and I would have gotten away with it if it weren’t for you meddling kids

... and I would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for you meddling press reporters says Clinton to Matt Drudge

White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan has excoriated NewsWeek for reporting on a Qu'ran being flushed down a toilet in Guantanamo. Translation: "and we would have gotten away with it too if it weren’t for you meddling Newsweek guys"
