Kosher Meats

Defined in DEUTERONOMY 14:3-21.

Orthodox Jews and Yahwists abstain from eating pork, lobster, shrimp, crab, clams, oyters and catfish as they are not kosher meats.

Beef, chicken, turkey, lamb and most fish are considered kosher.

business kosher

1. When a religious Jew has a lunch meeting in a non kosher restaurant and orders a salad or the fish.

2. When you're a religious Jew that wont dine on no swine but will dish on the fish at a non kosher restaurant.

3. You avoid eating things that judaism prohibits, but you will eat things that in themselves are not treif, even if they have not been prepared under religious guidelines.

4. You live your life in a way that is consistent with the spirit of biblical Judaism but not necessarily with the letter of Rabbinic law.

5. When the restaurant doesn't have official kosher certification but you know the food is actually kosher.

1. You know I don't eat no swine! I'm business kosher baby!

2. It's not treif, it's business kosher!

3.

Non Jewish friend: "Shlomo, sorry man I didn't realize this restaurant wasn't kosher!"

Shlomo: " It's all good bro, they serve fish and pasta, I'll just go business kosher today! "

Half Kosher

When a Jew will eat non Kosher meat like beef and chicken, but won't eat a non kosher animal like pork or prawns. Something secular Jews do as they think it's better than fully breaking kosher, when in reality there's no difference.

Don:Hey Emily would you like some of my ham and cheese sandwich?

Emily: No Don! I can't have that! It's not kosher!
Don: Erm, Emily you do know that sandwich you're eating is non kosher chicken right?
Emily: Yeah but I eat non kosher meat, just not non kosher animals.
Don: So you're half kosher.

Kosher Touch

A kosher touch is when one person touches another in an area that would be considered clean and has no inappropriate implications.
