Basically: You're poor according to the middle class, upper-middle class and the rich, but you're too rich for "true poverty"
Often gatekept out of being "disadvantaged" or being "just above the poverty line", but didn't grow up with the luxuries of the middle class or the upper class

A poor relative is someone you try to make look like a poor person so that your other relatives can live lavish lifestyles.I..e no divorce, 3 course meals for breakfast lunch and dinner, drive luxury cares, own mansions, gamble at the casinos every month. A 2023 science fiction dark comedy movie starring Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, Wilem Dafoe and Ramy Youssef and was directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. The plot centres around a woman named Bella Baxter (played by Stone) who is brought back to life by a scientist called Dr Godwin Baxter (Dafoe) Bella eventually decides leave Godwin Baxter with a lawyer named Duncan Wedderburn (Ruffalo) and learn more about life and explore the world. The film received fantastic reviews from critics with much of the praise going towards Emma Stone's performance. It won 4 academy awards including best actress for Emma Stone, best makeup, best costume design and best production design.
