The base edge bevel is the degree of upward ski or snowboard edge angle away from the snow surface.
Base edge bevel allows the ski or snowboard to skid at the beginning of the turn, prior to hooking-up or engaging a turn. The result is that the ski or snowboard is less likely to get caught-up on the snow and throw the rider into the woods.
Too much base edge bevel can result in skidding a turn or not having enough edge hold on the firm, hard snow surfaces resulting in a yard sale.
I love turning screws as a ski tech, but that Edge Head bitching about his base edge bevel not giving him enough edge hold is enough to piss off the Pope.

General douchebag version of a drug free kid.
Someone who is IN YOUR FACE drug free for absolutely no reason. They feel the need to announce to everyone that they are straight edge and generalize everyone who doesnt draw x's on their hands as douchebag people.
Will challenge you to constant fights completely unprovoked if you aren't straight edge (Even if you are drug free) but will never fight one on one and will only fight with weapons and all of their friends at the same time.
Claim to be doing good for their communities but are actually horrible, terrible people.
Usually are only straight edge to get attention but if none of their straight edge kid friends find out, they have no problem drinking/smoking/doing drugs.
Claim that Earth Crisis is the best band in the world but it is actually the single worst band in existence.

A group of people that stay away from drugs, and alcohol.
They put Xs on the back of their hands and T-Shirts to advertise their commitment.
They beleive in no sex to marriage, or no casual sex. Meaning that you dont sleep around, or have sex just to do it.
