Porch Day originally occurred on May 24, 2009, when Lil Stew13 of Bungie.net's off-topic forum, The Flood, posted a thread:
Headline: A dog showed up on my porch; what do I do?
Body: I can't keep it because my family has too many dogs. It is a little puppy that we think somebody dumped at our house. I've been petting it and got it some water, and we are getting it some food. What else should I do? Nobody has came looking for it yet.
The Flood quickly took a hold of this, and made dozens of parody threads. On May 24th, The Flood Forum was filled with Porch related threads. This resulted in dozens of bans, and a new Flood holiday: Porch Day.

1. an evil "holiday" that is a big crock.
2. a day where people who are single and hating it and recently divorced people are depressed becausing of the glamourization of "love".
3. also known as single's awareness day.
Retailers are excited about Valentine's Day because it will generate more profit.
I'm going to be so depressed on Valentine's Day.
For Valentine's Day me and my single friends are going to go out, try to have fun, and get drunk.

Lily Day is the day that we celebrate the awesomeness of the Lilys, Lilians, or Lils of the world. It is held on the 9th of August, and was first created in 1995.
These people are seriously awesome, radiating pure awesomeness, and have deserved their own day for a very long time. Lily's are generally under-appriciated, they are sweet, kind creatures that survive by being overly-generous, selfless, smart and beautiful. Only the most attractive of their race survive. They are a incredibly rare and indangered species, that need to be cared for, loved, then slowly released back into the wild. If you should ever come accross a Lily, don't make any sudden movements, as the Lily is very clumsy and will startle, trip over it's own feet and then fall when taken by surprise.
Lily Day needs to be celebrated with chocolate and smiley faces.
Wow, Lil is seriously awesome and I love her soooooooo much. We need to have a day in her honour! It shall be awesome, and is hearby known as Lily Day!!
