sales kickoff

A usually annual gala event thrown by a company in order to reassure its sales group that they are the most important and precious things in the universe. Typically takes place in an expensive location with golf courses. Sales personnel fly in from all around the world to be cooed, wined and dined so they don't leave to work for a competitor. Funds for the lavish, days-long indulgence are generally appropriated by denying unimportant employees the essentials they need, such as sufficient headcount and adequate equipment. Unimportant employees generally include anyone not in sales or upper management, especially anyone who actually helps a customer after the deal has closed, such as Customer Service or Technical Support.

Tech Support Person: Man, I wish they'd hire more people. I've got 75 cases, and that means about 50 really pissed off customers at all times.
Salesperson: Quit your whining, little person. The only reason you even have a job is that I sell our products to those suckers. Now get out of my way because I'm flying first-class out to Las Vegas for our sales kickoff for five days of golf and booze and spa treatments and hookers, all on the company dime! Ha ha!
Tech Support Person: I should have known that being smart, helpful and productive was a dead end.

fire sale

A fire sale is the sale of goods at extremely low prices, typically when the seller faces bankruptcy or other impending distress. The term may originally have been based on the sale of goods at a heavy discount due to fire damage.

also known as a computer hacker term that is imposes the threat of destroying all financial records, public utilities, transportation and to kill the economy and stock market. as from the above definition, a fire sale is where "everything must go" which in this case are the above. in essence it is a plan designed to create chaos by destroying technology to the point where a country can't operate (since we depend on computers and technology so much)

do i need an example? i explained it above. this isn't a spelling bee. you don't need to hear the word fire sale in a sentence.

pant sale

Is a description for an extremely sexy woman who may or may not be wearing tight pants. Regardless of the pant tightness she is said to be selling them in the form of an invitation for sexual intercourse.

Rich: "Is she selling?"
Steve: "With that body it's definetely a pant sale"
Brandon: "Jesus titties those pants are tight"

James Sale

A very small creature with little sense of reality. Bad dress sense, and is so un-funny that it makes you laugh. Who frequently makes outragious claims like "...It's safer to swim in that river than in the swimming pool...", and "...I've only been run-over 3 times..."

"James Sale is such a wolly"

sale goggles

Akin to beer goggles, sale goggles happen when you buy something JUST because it's on sale. It may be a terrible product that you will have regrets about once the buzz of acquisition has worn off.

I was at Target checking out the clearance items and came across a purple and yellow striped shirt. After buying it I came home and realized that it makes me look like a "special needs" bumble bee. Darn those sale goggles!
