Theatre kid

Theatre kids are definitely wrongfully stereotyped. Everyone thinks that these kids are absolute dorks and geeks, who get horny all the time and have the worst sex lives (some are lucky to have INCREDIBLE sex lives, though), but to every single person out there who has ever thought that... YOU'RE WRONG.

Theatre kids are the absolute BEST types of people you will ever meet, depending on where you go for school. You should be warned that theatre is MOST DEFINITELY a CULT. The frontrunners of this cult are known as "theatre geeks", who are destined to a life in either musical theatre/Broadway, or the movie industry. However, these kids are mostly accepting, kind, and good-hearted, as much as they are loud, outgoing, and sometimes crazy (but in a good way). Again, this mostly depends on the kids involved with theatre at your school. Sometimes, theatre kids are also known as musical theatre kids, but that all depends on whether or not they like to sing. Theatre kids don't have to be actors, as they can also be "techies", which are the stage crew people. Nonetheless, NEVER JUDGE ANY OF THEM. 9 times out of 10, they're really awesome kids and you should get to know them better. :)

How do I know? Because I AM a theatre kid myself.

Person 1: Hey, you see those theatre dorks over there?
Person 2: Shut up, everyone knows that they're not dorks. They're theatre KIDS.

Feminist theatre

Feminist theatre is a performance point of view that shows the oppresion of women under men, and urges society to challenge the norms and fight for gender equality by showing the strength and weaknesses in female characters and the fates they face as a cause of this.

An example of feminist theatre is Henrik Ibsen's Nora from "a dolls house", who after realizing that the place she is expected to take in society is one that she cannot live with, leaves her husband and children.

Theatre people

The stereotype of a Theatre person would be someone who wears all black, wears tons of make-up, and who drinks coffee everyday. They always attend Drama Club with friends and can actually act. Are popular in Drama Club but not really in school.

Normie: Did you see that lead in the play? I always see him wearing black with a Starbucks cup in his hand.

Normie 2: Such a theatre boy. Must be part of the theatre people.

theatre major

Major you pick when you want to party through college on your daddy's money. Legitimized by the fact that something like 0.01% of theatre majors might get a guest spot as a dead person on CSI.

Next in its schedule of productions are, Philadelphia Here I Come, and a play being written specifically for St. Catherine's School.
