Past Shaming

Bringing up someones past mistakes from years ago when they have made an effort to change their ways.

Gary: I heard Pete became a qualified teacher.

Phill: Seriously!? Didn't he used to steal from shops when he was younger and got arrested a few times?

Pete: Oi knock it off with your past shaming! Those happened years ago and now I have changed my ways!

to slut shame

to literally call a girl (who is not a prostitute by profession) a slut and tell her she should be ashamed of herself for the way she dresses simply because you do not like the way she is dressed

Craigslist post in Montreal, Canada for April 4, 2013:

" (...) you spotted me walking quickly to my class and decided you needed to stop me so you can give me your opinion about my clothing; You proceeded to slut shame me.What were you thinking? (...)"

N.B: I nominated this post for 'Brest of Craigslist', because it was actually written in as a poem, of which i have an excerpt above.

Shame Totem

When a Man has an erection at an inopportune time.

"Hey Jane, did you see Umberto bomb his speech in front of the whole school!"
"Ya, he had a serious Shame Totem going on there, maybe I'll take it for a ride later".

Smelly Shame

When you fart in class but your crush is sitting next to you, so to save yourself from death by embarrassment, you look over at that one crazy popular person, pinch your nose, and yell "EWWW. YOU NERD. YOU SMELL LIKE MY GRANDMA. SHE'S DEAD."

I let out a big one, a real whopper in fact, and was immediately met with smelly shame.

Ghost of Shame

When someone ghosts out of shame, usually temporary.
This happens after doing something they swore they wouldn't do, or that they feel guilty about having done.
Can be used among good friends, because friends don't usually permanently ghost, but they do ghost temporarily out of shame.

"Lily went to see her ex yesterday to drop of things and never texted me back..."
"She probably did something wrong and now she's doing the Ghost of Shame."

Scroll of Shame

(Verb). Waking up on a Sunday and going from app to app to see the texts, Snapchats, etc you sent while drunk. If your poor thumb could talk it would ask to be amputated after the level 3 trauma it just endured.

This morning the scroll of shame was so rough, i ordered a flip phone for next weekend and am only putting 911 and dominos in the contacts.
