America’s Got COVID

A spin-off of the TV hit, “America’s Got Talent,” this show has teams of very sick people competing for big prizes by successfully contact tracing to find the source of their Coronavirus infection.

I watched America’s Got COVID the other night and I was crying tears of joy as they narrowed down the possible sources until they hit on this little girl’s grandmother; it was all so exciting and disturbing at the same time!

Covid-🇸🇨

When authorities in Seychelles wished to inoculate over 70% of its estimated 98,000 population by mid-March, thanks to donated half-baked or half-trialed vaccines as part of their donor’s “vaccine diplomacy,” which would make the tourism-dependent islands the first nation to vaccinate its entire population and allow restrictions to be relaxed further.

Although the islands' relative isolation has allowed them to weather the Covid-19 storm relatively well and remain open to tourists, who needed to be confined to their hotels for 10 days upon arrival, it’s doubtful how they’d contain Covid-🇸🇨, as their visitors mostly come from places with high infection and mortality rates, which have witnessed new variants of the virus.

COVID-🎶

The hypothesis that playing slower music—one that doesn’t exceed 120 beats per minute (BPM)—in public settings, such as when people exercise in gyms, or folks dance or do aerobics in workout classes, could reduce the corona infection rate, as it is pretty hard for people in a group activity to properly wear masks or social distance.

With the new Covid-🎶 rule, a number of gym owners in Seoul are worried whether playing fast, funky K-pop songs could get them in trouble with the authorities—would they be forced to play classical or gospel music instead to reduce saliva droplets in the air?

Covid Cootie-cross

when someone approaching you crosses the street to avoid contagion

Karla was walking and talking to mom on her cell and noticed a dude who crossed to the other side. "OMG mama this guy just did a Covid Cootie-cross on me!"

When COVID is over

"When COVID is over" is a twitter trend where people joke about corona-virus never going away, whilst comparing it to pop culture trends and things people tend to never finish, like laundry.

"When COVID is over" is starting to sound like "When one direction comes back"
"When COVID is over" is starting to sound like "When my laundry is done"

Covid pee stain

A Covid pee stain is when you go to hit the hand sanitizer pump and because it has crud buildup in the nozzle, rather than shooting in your hand it sends a spurt of sanitizer at 200 mph that nails your pants in the crotch and thus produces a covid pee stain

I’m never using hand sanitizer at the gym again after giving my light grey sweatpants a Covid pee stain.
