A standup comedy term used to describe a portion of a comic's set in which he physically and/or using a character's voice describes the character in the joke.
My favorite part about Seinfeld's set was the act out of the dumb flight attendant.

If you act out before someone you know passes without knowing they were going to pass, your subconscious may be trying to give you a sign or preparing yourself for the hurt to come.
“Remember when I was super upset before dad passed?”
“Yes! That had to be a sign, that might be normal for someone acting out before a passing of someone”
